Introducing Fresherplay

I made a website called Fresherplay designed to get music recognition around the world.

It works by each song being given a popularity rating and all the songs compete to get the most. If your song is lucky to be in the top 1%, it will be available for download by others to propell it to a higher status. My aim is to create a website which improves the music industry and make it easier for artists to get recognition

You can add your music if you wish to get some exposure.

It's in beta, so the design and features will be improved. Also, more songs will be added.

What do you think of the site?

I like the background image, the header and the black gradients.

However, I think the "Top 40 Popular Songs" bit should have a slight margin on the bottom (it's touching the music player box). Also, the icons with text beneath, on the left, look a bit sloppy (a bit of an exaggeration but I can't find a better word). They may look better if they are centered, or surrounded in some sort of box.

I hope that helps. Not particularly detailed suggestions, but it's better than having no replies to your thread

Also though I think that your should remove the hover on the text on the menu to the right of the page. It looks ok with just the stripes, at the moment when you hover over the text part you get a grey background to the text.

Other than that it looks great.

Yeah I've improved the design to make people want to signup.
I think you'll find the layout of the page more appealing.
I found it hard to design the site due to having to make a website with no content fill 960 pixels wide.

I love your design. But how will you promote this music site? It also took some time for loading. I wish you could fix this.

Its looks so much better now. I see you've also added an advertisement on the page, its good as it isn't over-powering.
